When she saw them she jumped down from her hiding place and came over to help them. "Katsu," she said when she came near, "we need to talk." "It's getting worse, isn't it?" Chaa'ii nodded in reply. "I know, Riala just can't hold herself back. Every time she fights she gets stronger, every time she fights she always releases all her chakra." Katsu: A ninja storyKatsu crouched behind a bush, waiting. If the information he had was correct there'd be a merchant travelling past soon. He hated this, being forced to use ninja skills for a life of crime, but that was what it took to survive now. It wasn't safe for ninjas now, they were on a downward spiral. One ninja would rob a convoy, then bounty hunters would go out looking for ninja, even the innocent ones who worked legally. So more and more ninja were forced to work in crime or be killed or have to give up being who they were. Stop being a shinobi? Impossible! So Katsu and his friends had turned to life in crime.
